Dalaman Property

The Dalaman is a district on the southwestern coast of Turkey on the Aegean Sea, about midway on the coastline between Antalya and Izmir. The town of Dalaman, set amongst the cotton fields and orange trees is about ten to fifteen minute drive away from the small Dalaman International airport. For those interested in a holiday in the area, or buying Dalaman property, both Turkish Airlines and British Airways fly to and from London and there are more regular internal flights to Ankara and Istanbul on a daily basis. It is just as easy to fly to Istanbul and take the overland transfer.

Located between the Taurus Mountains and the Aegean Sea like so many of the holiday resorts of Turkey, Dalaman is an area of unrivalled natural beauty. The six-kilometre beach, one of the most famous beaches in the world, is a sanctuary for the local protected Loggerhead turtle population. With significant European investment, the city is growing into a modernised urban area, with bars and restaurants, hotels and shops that match the demands of these new customers. Yet Dalaman property is still relatively cheaper, and the area is a lot quieter than other tourist resorts in Turkey, with its peaceful rural countryside setting.

Dalaman is a popular point of departure for a ‘Blue Cruise’ a cruise that visits the areas of Bongus, Siralibuk, Tasyaka bays and Baba, Nar and Peksimet Islands. This is very popular with tourists wishing to discover the beauty of the Aegean coast. If you prefer seeing these scattered island at your own pace, why not hire your own boat or yacht and take it all in! For those who would prefer something a little more sedate, browse the bargains at the local Turkish markets or visit the ancient tombs of Lycian. Dalaman has an extensive transport network, making it possible to use this as the departure point to visit many of the other splendid sights of the Southern Turkish coast. After a long day, relax with a meal down by the waterfront before walking along the beach to watch one of the most beautiful sunsets you’ve ever seen as the sun goes down over the rippling waters of the Aegean.
