Like so many resorts on this coastline, Kalkan’s most animate areas are found around the lively marina and harbour areas. There are over forty restaurants in the area of Kalkan, so the choice of where to enjoy your sumptuous evening meal is superb. From contemporary international menus such as spaghetti or even steak and chips, to traditional Turkish flavours of a buffet with a starter of grilled fish, the selection will suit even the most whimsical of palettes. The temperature in Kas and Kalkan is agreeable all year round and is often compared to the climate of California, which also enjoys long hot summers, with warm, wet winters. In summer, it is not unusual to experience temperatures in the blistering forty degrees Celsius, whilst in the winter, it is quite possible to enjoy days of cloudless twenty degrees Celsius. For tourists interested in history, the chance of touching ancient monuments, tombs and the ruins of buildings is all around, from the Lycian Rock Tombs, to the Patara Waterway, a truly amazing feat of ancient engineering, an aqueduct transporting precious water. For those less interested in poking around in antiquity, there is SCUBA diving, snorkelling, gulet boat trips, swimming and other outdoor adventures. .

A small villa is in the range of eighty-five thousand, but a large villa can cost anything up to four hundred thousand pounds! Property for sale on the Kas Peninsula does not come up very often, making it highly desirable for those looking for a good investment. Nevertheless, with such a wide range of market prices, it is worth seeing what you can get for your budget.
